Autumn Playlist

Throughout this season I have slowly accumulated a few songs that I have been constantly playing on repeat. So today I thought I’d not only share with you my favourite songs of this autumn but songs that just remind me of autumn.

Some of my most replayed songs this month have been:

  1. Monster – Eminem feat Rihanna
  2. Afterglow- Wilkinson
  3. She will stay beneath the moon- Adam Barnes
  4. Shake Shake Shake- Bronze Radio Return
  5. Snap out of it – Artic Monkeys

Anything by Ed Sheeran puts me in the autumn spirit but these are some of my favourites:

  1. A team – Ed Sheeran
  2. Lego House- Ed Sheeran
  3. Tennis court – Lorde
  4. Pompeii – Bastille
  5. Next Year – Two Door Cinema Club

Favourite Fall Footwears + transitioning into winter

Today I’ve decided to make my most worn fall footwear for all you shoeaholics out there (yeah you.) or maybe those who are on a budget and want to have the essential shoes for this season (or the next!) I’ll also be showing you how to transition shoes from other season into this one!

C-O-M-B-A-T  B-O-O-T-S!  I know I’ve mentioned this before but they are my absolute favourite footwear for fall! They’re just so comfy and the add some edginess to any outfit. I love pairing them with thick cosy socks peeking over the top and this way you can still wear them in winter!

This next pair I don’t personally own (unfortunately) but they are certainly on my wish list! Doc Martens are again an edgier pair of shoes which can also be easily transitioned into winter by wearing any pair of thick socks. I’m obsessed with cute socks. They can be paired with almost anything and I person;ally think they look great skirts!

My next most worn you can dig out from those spring and summer days. I really like adore my white hi-top converse so pairing them with some thigh high or thick wolly socks can transition them to fall or even winter (fingers crossed) . I think they add a casual feel and paired the right way can make an outfit much girlier.

So during those freezing cold fall days when the weather suddenly drops I love digging out my Uggs. If I had to live in one pair of shoes it would be these for sure! Once you get over the price of 200 Euros you really see they are so worth the splurge (and the huge whole in wallet doesn’t appear as big). I currently own the medium black classic Uggs (well I’m getting them for Christmas) and a dark brown limited edition pair which I’ve owned for 5 years and they still look new.

During fall (at least where I live) it likes to rain a lot. So for this I love bringing out my wellies and walk over the puddles like a kid. If I could afford them I would probably purchase some Hunter rain boots as they are so cute and I seriously didn’t think rain boots could look this cute! They look really great paired the with leggings and long sweaters and guess what? Cosy socks peeking from the top !

And my last pair of shoes are for if you have a fancy dinner or just want to dress up some more. Forthese occasions, I love the Jeffrey Campbell Lita Platform Boot. Or rather a cheaper alternative but any how these shoes are like the perfect boot with a heel! They look so gorgeous on and the different styling can bring any outfit together. They can make an outfit edgy, by pairing the black leather ones with some distressed jeans, a graphic tee and a flannel shirt , and they can make an outfit girly pairing the camel suede leather heels with a light pink coloured skirt some grey knee highs ,a white sheer crop top  and an oversized cardigan.

Autumn Essentials

As far as fashion goes, autumn is definitely my favourite time of year to shop. The weather is perfect for layering, wearing warm sweaters and cosy socks. And even through the layering you can still show off some skin (shorts and knee highs, yes please!). For each season, it is essential to gather up a few staple pieces that you will wear non-stop. And who doesn’t love to go shopping for cosy socks?

Although parting with that perfect pair of high waisted shorts and those uncountable pairs of colourful crop tops  might be hard I decided to create a list of my essentials items for this autumn.

If I could only have one autumn essential it would be the perfect pair of combat boots.  These combat boots from Charlotte Russe are so versatile they can be paired with almost everything. My favourite way to wear them is laced up with some cosy socks peeking from the top. This adds that little something to an outfit that makes it cute and comfy but looks (and is!) effortless.

My next essential for autumn would have to be knit hat and beanies. They don’t only act like an accessory but they actually have a purpose. I feel like adding jewellery adds to an outfit but adding a cute hat or scarf keeps you warm as well! I really like this cream beanie from H&M as I tend to go for beanies with pom-poms and this one is perfect. As for the scarf I feel like it speaks for itself. My new favourite autumn scarf? Definitely!

And now the outliner of any fall fashion freaks wardrobe would have to be leggings. Hated by some and absolutely relished by others (e.g me), leggings are a huge trend this autumn and I mean I’m totally taking advantage of this as it really feels like I’m still wearing my pyjamas.. Even though leggings are incredibly comfortable to wear I sometimes feel like I feel  more comfortable wearing something a little less..tight.

It’s time to dig through the back of your closets and search for forgotten skirts because not only are skater skirts a huge trend but they are my number one favourite thing to wear when I want to make an outfit more girly and add a bit of pzaz. I feel like American Apparel  make great circle skirts even though they’re really expensive and I absolutely love the fit of them!

Now my last staple clothing piece would have to be slouchy, oversized cardigans. It has been proven that they are the perfect partner for any outfit and add that extra warmth you need. If you are not on the hunt for the perfect oversized cardigan then now is the time to begin. And if you are sitting there knowing you’ve found your perfect cardigan.. well hey you can never have too many, right?
